Here is what i think.

I find it amusing, it really is to me a big ipod touch, that will be excessively expensive in Australia, and of course, is full of apple control, not wanting you to waste time on other things, like flash support, or you know, an operating system that isn't made for a hand-held mp3 player.

I'm sorry it is an Apple. When you chose form over function in a computing device you should be hanging it on a wall as that is the only rational reason for spending that much. Because it would have to be a piece of art.

It does but if it had something like a DVD player drive then I'd buy it but it lacks aload of features that a normal net book touch can do (do they exist ?)

300-500 bucks would be a good price for something a LITTLE less than a laptop.
It'd be an awesome thing if it had usb ports for your keyboard LOL.
If it already fills the criteria I don't get whats so bad about it?
You just leave it at home and sit on your couch flicking through a newspaper on your A4 sized ipad.

I made no mistake, I don't see how you are confused...I said netbooks for the most part do not include optical disc drives.

The issue also is turk that multitasking isn't really possible on it nor is there hdmi or any other output really.

Doodle jump would be the most hardest app ever to play on that

They made it like a giant iPhone, and tbh it should really be more of a downsized Mac. I agree with RJ though, def room for improvement and it shouldn't be too hard since it's just the software that seems to be the problem.

Well I was more so thinking a hardware revision with more input/output ports but yes a firmware/os update would certainly help with the multitasking, etc.

I am guessing it uses an ARM proc. If they get Atom down to a size where they can use it in something like this then i can see it being somewhat useful. But i would still want one from a PC designer. At least then it would have connectivity even if it made it uglier.

- iPhone 3GS compared to 1st gen
- ipod Classic compared to 1st gen
- Mac Book new gen

and so on
